- Tried Tamas's setup (Medium DF) on the warm track — best 111.372, felt bad, didn't feel faster.
- Went back to own setup (High DF, 7° wing — same spec as the 2026-01-05 109.930 lap): 110.337 best, same warm track.
- Trimmed the wing to 5°; track had cooled to 18.3°C: 108.738 best. "the car felt so good...tires feel bubbly...a little bouncy and have pliability...i think it's close to ideal...unless it's just the setup and the weather all connecting together."
- Reran Tamas's setup at that same cool 18.3°C: 108.356 best — P4 of 2803 on Garage61 (driver-reported). Beat the own-setup 5° attempt by 0.38s at matched conditions.
- Verdict: scrapping the own High-DF setup — "it loses too much on the straights and wasn't making enough up from the extra downforce in the corners." Going forward: practicing Tamas's setup on the warmer track.
